<span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation and Senior Services are teaming up with local businesses, organizations, and individuals to make the long hot days of summer a bit cooler for many of </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">West Tennessee</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">&#39;s elderly population. Through its Fans for Seniors project, the Foundation will provide 400 electric fans to be distributed to lower-income senior citizens across </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">West Tennessee</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">, who are without air conditioning in their residences.</span> 
</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial"></span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">Overseeing the distribution process is the Southwest Tennessee Development District Area Agency on Aging, the Northwest Tennessee Development District Area Agency on Aging, the Southwest Human Resource Agency and the Northwest Human Resource Agency. Fans will be loaded up beginning at </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">10:30 a.m.</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial"> on Wednesday, June 6 at the Wal-Mart Super Center North in </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">Jackson</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">. The fans will be divided equally between northern and southern </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">West Tennessee</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial"> counties, with each area receiving 200 fans for distribution. Local individuals should check with their local Southwest Tennessee Development District Area Agency on Aging or Northwest Tennessee Development District Area Agency on Aging. </span>

<span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">The Fans for Seniors project is a community-wide event that involves the generosity of many area groups and individuals who donate the monies utilized to purchase the fans. Organizations and businesses such as Wal-Mart, Interagency Council members, West Tennessee Healthcare directors and employees as well as Northwest Tennessee Case Managers&#39; Association have contributed to this worthwhile project. Additionally, employees of Gary Matthews have donated personal funds to purchase 100 of the 400 electric fans to be distributed.<span>&nbsp; </span></span>
